Display Week 2024

Display Week is the world’s largest technical symposium and exhibition for emerging technologies in the high-growth global electronic display industry. More than 8000 attendees from over 50 countries will gather to learn, source new technologies, and network. Display Week represents nearly every major industry sector, including but not limited to aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, commercial, education, entertainment, financial, government, industrial, marine, medical, military, retail, and transportation.

The program covers presentations from world-renowned technology leaders, trend-setting innovators, and the international community’s brightest minds, as well as experience hands-on demos of new technologies, applications, and products. Display Week 2024 includes

  • a three-day exhibition with the most influential display and visual information technology companies
  • a multiday technical symposium featuring visionary scientists and researchers
  • several hundreds of technical papers from the global display community

At Display Week 2024, the following paper will report on research results from Fraunhofer IISB:

Precise Compensation of Device Variability in IGZO-based Ferroelectric Thin-film Transistors for Enhanced Transparent Display Performance
by D. Joch et al., Tue, May 14, 12:10 PM - 12:30 PM in Session 10 "Emerging Display Enhancements"

In the paper, the authors demonstrate the compensation of device-to-device variation in threshold voltage (VT) using programmable ferroelectric indium-gallium-zinc-oxide thin-film transistors. Furthermore, a degradation-induced VT shift can be mitigated by programming, setting the characteristics back to their pristine state. This can be a promising alternative for the replacement of complex VT compensation circuits in display applications.
